Hauz Khas is the second city of medieval Delhi. A small village surrounded by green parks within the city of Delhi and now a tourist destination. You will find a small lake here, which used to be a water supply tank for residents of a nearby fort (Siri Fort) in the 13th century. The lake (if not dried up) is totally green with algea and has dead trees in it which gives it a spooky feel. There are several medieval buildings on the bank of the lake: Multi-storeyed series of halls and chambers, tombs and colleges used for theological training. In the village next to the medieval buildings you will find a lot of charming antique shops, sari shops, bistro's etc.
