All American Diner

This typical American diner is located with in the India Habitat Centre at Gate 1 and can be reached via the Rooms Block Reception. It is a nice place that opens very early for Indian standards and offers extremely good coffee and the regular menu of an American Diner like malts and pancakes. Angels in my kitchen

A nice bakery/bistro at the Defence Colony Main Market, where you will find more nice restaurants and cafés. The place is clean and has two floors. Bukhara Restaurant

Café Turtle

This café is on the top floor of a nice bookshop in Khan Market. After watching the upper class, expats and diplomats do their weekly shopping at this shopping area. You can relax in here. The café itself is not well indicated from the outside. So look for the Full Circle bookshop. Coffee is good and it is also an excellent place for a snack or lunch.

Choko la

Located aside the big PVR Priya Cineam in the shopping area of Vasant Lok, opposite Barista and next to the Soney shop, this nice restaurant offers probably the best chocolate in town. Inside the interior designer might have tried to create a bit of a South American atmosphere, but the chocolate chef has his inspiration definitely from Belgium. One does not need to eat or drink chocolate here. They serve very good coffee, original fruit juices and nice meals. Flavours Italian restaurant

One of the few places in Delhi where you can sit outside and have lunch or dinner on a terrace. The food is OK but overpriced. A crowd of mainly young Indian families and students. Make sure you order your courses not at once, because they will be served at one too.

Indian Coffee House

A nice and authentic Indian Coffee House with huge terrace to sit outside. Indians come here to enjoy good coffee, prepared in different ways, and to exchange the latest news. Karim's

This is probably the best Indian restaurant in Delhi. Although it is absolutely not stylish, its food can easily match with many of the good five star hotels in the capital. In the past it won many prices. No alcohol available.

Khan Chacha

Khan Chacha's is a rather small but very popular, no frills kabab joint that serves absolutely scrumptious mutton seekh kebabs, paneer tikkas, mutton tikka roomali rolls, chicken tikkas, chicken tikka roomali rolls etc.

This is a franchise from South Africa. It is an upscale coffee shop that converts to a cocktail bar at nights. It has outside seating and also free internet. They serve continental and fusion food. They also serve Italian coffee. They have a large cocktail menu and also have live events.

Nirula's

Nirula's is the Indian answer to McDonalds, but much more Indian.
