Introduction

Iceland, a special, vulcanic, still European island as big as Turkey, in the Atlantic Ocean, shortly to the Arctic Circle. Inhabited by the Vikings already in the 10th century. Blessed with a relatively and surprisingly warm climate, thanks to the warm oceanic Gulfstream from the South. It has a low number of population, and is because of that not much spoiled. It has impressive nature and good options for all kind of tourism in all seasons. Friendly, hospitable population with experience in having visitors, and with good facilities. And very safe!
